About the role
We are looking for a talented, insight-driven Data Analyst to join our European Digital Marketing team at Nikon Europe B.V.
You will be the go-to expert for delivering high-quality marketing performance insights that drive smarter decisions across channels including email, social media, web, and paid advertising. Your analysis will help us improve customer understanding, optimize campaigns, improve user journeys, and strengthen customer engagement.
This role focuses on customer data, media and channel performance analysis, clear reporting, and dashboard creation (primarily in Power BI), with practical tagging and measurement governance. You will also play a key role in automation, measurement governance and privacy-compliant data practices.
Main Responsibilities
Insights & Performance Optimization
Deliver and interpret analytical insights that inform and influence key decisionmakers
Translate complex data into clear, compelling stories and actionable recommendations
Analyze campaign and channel performance (email, social, search, paid media, website) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
Conduct analyses on customer behavior, segmentation opportunities and funnel bottlenecks
Contribute to advanced measurement approaches like attribution and marketing mix modelling
Reporting & Analytics Maturity
Build, maintain, and continuously improve Power BI dashboards to track digital marketing performance and customer insights
Automate routine reporting to increase efficiency and consistency across markets
Drive analytics maturity uplift through improved methodologies and best practices
Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for marketing stakeholders and senior leadership
Measurement & Data Governance
Define measurement plans and reporting frameworks in collaboration with stakeholders
Manage tagging governance and create clear tagging specifications
Ensure privacy- and consent-compliant measurement in line with regulations and internal policies
Support implementation and validation of tracking via tools such as GTM and GA4
Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration
Work closely with marketing teams, Senior Management and the D2C team to translate business needs into analytical solutions
Coordinate with external partners and agencies on reporting and dashboarding initiatives and optimizing Data Studio dashboards
Act as a trusted advisor on data-driven decision-making across the organization
Required Profile
Bachelor or Master's degree in the field of Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or related field
3-5 years experience as a data analyst or in a related field
Experience finding, cleaning, and transforming data to build reports, dashboards, and/or data assets
Strong experience building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI
Experience defining metrics, measurement plans and reporting frameworks for marketing campaigns
Comfortable working with marketing teams and external agencies to translate business questions into analytic solutions
Experience with Data Studio and managing external dashboarding partners
Expert with digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics / GA4) and tag management basics (Google Tag Manager)
Experience communicating and advocating with analytical insights to high-level audiences to inform decision-making
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills (fluency in English required, other languages desirable) with people at all levels
Nice to have
SQL skills sufficient to extract and aggregate data for reporting and analysis
Experience with large-scale data environments and advanced analytics methodologies
Familiarity with attribution modelling or marketing mix modelling
Experience in automation of reporting and scalable data solutions
Understanding of privacy, consent management and data governance principles
