ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work directly with customers and build AI-powered solutions around their most important workflows. This is not a back-office implementation role. It sits at the intersection of AI, product, deployment, and customer problem solving.
You will embed deeply in customer needs, move quickly from problem to prototype, and help shape both the product and the customer experience as Outmarket scales. If you want clear boundaries between engineering, product, and customer work, this will not be the right fit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Work directly with insurance brokers, MGAs, and carriers to deploy AI-powered solutions for their workflows.
Use LLMs, embeddings, and structured data pipelines to build features such as document review, entity extraction, and quote comparison.
Rapidly prototype and productionize features based on customer needs and feedback.
Collaborate with sales, customer success, and product teams to prioritize high-leverage initiatives.
Build reusable components that can scale across customers and use cases.
Help define the playbook for how Outmarket solves customer problems in the field, not just execute someone else’s playbook.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
2+ years of experience in ML, NLP, or LLM-based systems, or 3+ years in software engineering with a strong interest in applied AI.
Proficiency in Python and experience with tools such as LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI, or vector databases.
Experience working directly with customers or in client-facing engineering roles.
Ability to understand messy real-world data and ship practical solutions quickly.
Strong ownership and comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
Ability to move from ambiguity to action without waiting for perfect requirements.
BONUS IF YOU HAVE
Experience working with unstructured documents such as PDFs or insurance policies.
Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or customer implementation.
Familiarity with insurance workflows or B2B SaaS environments.
